It is believed that in the depth of the ancient mountains called "Peñas Blancas" (White Cliffs) lies the fabled treasure of Carlacá, a legendary warrior chief who fought the Spanish conquistadores in Colombia. Taking its name from this storied mountain, Peñas Blancas coffee is grown along the outskirts of Pitalito, Huila, in an area surrounded by ancient oaks, mountain springs, and watched over by the pale white peaks that run along those fabled mountain tops.
Now synonymous with conversation, culture, healthy farming practices, and community, Peñas Blancas demonstrates that coffee farmers can improve their quality of life by producing quality coffee.
